Red, red Wine

Wine is not an emulator. It’s an abstraction layer. And what a nice abstraction layer it is. :) One of the main reasons for my using Windows at all is file compatibility with work colleagues, who all use MS Office. Until I get them all to use OpenOffice.org, installing MS Office XP inside Linux under Wine is a very nice workaround, and means I never have to go into Windows again.
